It seems that “3” is the magic number when it comes to sports. Hat tricks, three-peats, bowling a turkey, triathalons, wicket stumps, The Great Bambino… there’s just something about the number “3” that seems to permeate throughout sports culture. This past weekend, Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel claimed his third straight Formula One championship, becoming one of only nine drivers to ever to achieve such a feat. The F1 prodigy became the youngest three-time champion at just 25-years-old after overcoming a first-lap crash to finish in sixth place and clinching the title over Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso in the Brazilian Grand Prix. Perhaps more impressive is that Vettel is one of only three (there’s that number again) to ever win three consecutive F1 titles, the other two being the legendary Michael Schumacher (won five in a row from 2000-2004) and Juan Manuel Fangio (won from 1954-1957). We’re proud to sponsor an F1 team so rich in talent.
Congratulations Sebastian Vettel on your historic achievement.
Cheers,
Mr. Singha
