It’s the middle of award show season and while most red carpets will feature names from movies and television, the Grammy’s pay tribute to those who make you shake what your momma gave you. As music industry royalty descended upon Los Angeles in preparation for what ended up as an unforgettable night at Staples Center, parties were bound to happen.
So, what happens when you offer Skrillex a palatial loft at the AT&T Center high above his hometown overlooking Staples and the rest of Downtown LA and let him do his thing? A line up of EDM royalty that could sell out the Electric Daisy Carnival ten times over. Kaskade, Nero, Diplo and, of course, Skrillex performed for just a few hundred people while laying down some serious dubstep, house and dance hall all night. Having thrown the best pre-Grammy party of the year, Skrillex also picked up three Grammy’s the next night. Not a bad weekend for Sonny at all.
