Singer, songwriter, actresses are a dime a dozen in Los Angeles so it takes some real talent to stand out in a sea of like faces. Enter SoKo. Originally from France, SoKo first started making waves in the music scene after her song “I’ll Kill Her” became a hit single in Denmark in 2007. Since then SoKo opened for M.I.A., “I’ll Kill Her” was sampled by Cee Lo Green and wrote and featured in Mourir Auprés De Toi directed by Spike Jonze. She’s also starred in 13 French films since 2002.
On Tuesday, June 11, her full length album, “I Thought I Was An Alien,” will be released in the US and she will be performing at Sonos Studio in Los Angeles. Her performance will be accompanied with an art installation and a Q&A session. Her lo-fi dream pop is the perfect sound for summer. Click here to RSVP for this event.
