The much anticipated Los Angeles debut of Luckyrice goes down this Saturday, Aug. 4th at the East Asian Design Warehouse at H.D. Buttercup Helms Bakery Building. The Luckyrice Night Market will be hosted by Helms Bakery Building resident Sang Yoon (Father’s Office and Lukshon) and features over 15 of LA’s best culinary talents for a night of re-imagined Asian gastronomy. Luckyrice has been putting on the most talked about Asian food events throughout NYC for the past couple years now and after a stop in Vegas last month they’ve finally made their way to The Golden State. Some of the chef’s and restaurants set to be featured are Bryant Ng (The Spice Table), Jitlada (Best Thing I Ever Ate, LA Weekly’s 99 Essential Restaurants), Kris Yenbamroong (Night + Market), Erik Bruner-Yang (Toki Underground and Maketto, D.C.), Chai Chaowasaree (Chai’s Island Bistro and Hawaiian Airlines Exec. Chef, Hawaii), Mohan Ismail (RockSugar) among others. There will also be eight creative mixologists serving up 16 Asian-inspired cocktails. Special include journalist Lisa Ling, LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy and his culinary enthusiast girlfriend Christina Topsøe. Click here for ticket information.
