America’s smallest state will host its biggest international beer festival! On Saturday, November 9th, the Rhode Island Convention Center will host The Great International Beer Festival featuring over 250 brewers from around the world, live music, great food and more! There will be 2 sessions for you to attend and enjoy unlimited pours of Singha along with 249 other breweries. Proceeds from The Great International Beer Festival to benefit the RI Community Food Bank, the Rhode Island Horticultural Society and the Providence Rotary Foundation Charities. There’s a reason it’s called the Ironman. Swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles and then running a full marathon (26.2 miles) is a task most people would dismiss as impossible to do in one day. Art galleries collide this weekend at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Park for Beyond Eden. Work by artists from C.A.V.E. Gallery (Venice, CA), Copro Gallery (Santa Monica, CA), Spoke Art (San Francisco, CA) and Thinkspace (Culver City, CA) will be featured celebrating the new contemporary art scene. In addition to the works on display the event will feature live painting and street art demonstrations. Opening reception is on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 5-11pm with general viewing open on Sunday, Oct. 13, from Noon-5pm. This event is free and open to the public.
